SOMALIA, Mogadishu: In a handout photograph released by the African Union-United Nations Information Support Team 15 August, Ugandan soldiers serving with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) sort through a haul of munitions that were used by the extremist group Al Shabaab to make improvised explosive devices. AMISOM troops and Transitonal Federal Government (TFG) forces dislodged remnants of Al Shabaab from the site following the withdrawal of most of the extremist group's forces from the city ten days ago, discovering the bomb making facility at the former steel factory in northern Mogadishu which contained evidence that the group had used the site to manufacture improvised explosive devises, suicide vests and car bombs.
